Prerequisite: New students, White, Orange and Purple Belts.
New students and White Belts build on a foundation of physical fitness, improved motor skills and hand-eye coordination while learning martial arts training methods. Students with Orange Belts will work on improving agility, flexibility, and coordination of martial arts techniques. Purple Belts will work on developing strength, stamina and reflexes. All students will learn martial arts and Japanese terms and practice dojo etiquette.

This ongoing program offers new and continuing students an in-depth learning experience that includes discipline, coordination, self-defense, focused concentration, self confidence, and respect for others.
Uniforms are available for purchase from instructor. No jewelry or watches can be worn during class.
About the Instructor David Byer is a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate with 15 years of martial arts experience and five years as an instructor teaching all ranks and ages. He currently trains at the Golden Tiger Dojo in Maryville, IL.
